Nothing captures the eyes
like a glorious painting. Ever since I was a kid, it has always been my dream
to be a world reknown painter. Due to situation of so many things and country issues,
the plan has been on hold but definitely not derailed. I believe in having
basic foundation knowledge, which refers to mastering the art of drawing.
The painting above was
done by Oresegun Olumide, a 35-year-old man, who majored in Fine Art at the
Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, Nigeria. He graduated with a distinction.
The use of water gives
a translucent effect and he said "that is why it’s difficult for many
people to do”. Drawing inspiration from his community, he creates pieces that
reflect the lives of those around him. He has been featured on CNN and many
other popular websites. I just can’t wait to get my hands on a paintbrush. (Hey!
It’s okay if you haven’t achieved success in your 20s).
